Our substrate is a mix of organic coconut coir, two grades of vermiculite to ensure aeration. We’ve worked for years to perfect this mixture and have landed on a recipe sure to give you large abundant flushes every grow. This substrate is ideal for manure or dung loving mushrooms. Please note, this is plain substrate and does require grain spawn to achieve colonization, inoculating this material with spores or liquid culture will not grow mycelium, or will grow extremely weak or slow growing mycelium.

This product is sterilized and ready to use, sealed in a mushroom grow bag with a .2 micron filter. Just mix with your colonized spawn and you’re ready to go! 5lbs is enough substrate mix to top dress multiple bags of spawn or to create 1 monotub when mixed with 5lb or 3lbs of spawn in a medium to large container; feel free to message us to confirm which size for what size tub.
